Finishing up a repair on an air conditioning unit that was failing to start. Upon inspection, I identified a burnt-out compressor relay. I replaced the faulty relay with a new Packard PR340 relay. I also tested the system's refrigerant levels using a Testo 550s digital manifold gauge and found them to be low, so I added R-410A refrigerant to the appropriate levels. Additionally, I cleaned the evaporator coils with Nu-Calgon Evap Foam to improve heat exchange efficiency. The unit is now operating correctly and providing optimal cooling.

This afternoon, I repaired a malfunctioning Carrier central air conditioning system for a customer. The homeowner reported the AC had stopped cooling effectively. After diagnosing the issue, I discovered a failed dual run capacitor was preventing the compressor from starting properly. I carefully replaced the faulty capacitor component and then tested the system to verify proper cooling operation had been restored. The customer now has their high-efficiency AC system running reliably again, just in time for the summer heat.

Our Tech Jeremy was a very knowledgeable and professional service Tech who answered all of our questions. We were a "cold call" who agreed only to a service call. Based on what Jeremy found during the initial inspection, the pictures to verify and his honest opinion we decided to buy the recommended products to resolve the problem and sign up for a 2 year service agreement.
